Class Length: 30 minutes Pool Area: Deep end (12ft depth) Class Structure: Students sit on pool edge

Prerequisites:

  • Swim 20 feet independently with windmill arms and rollover breaths

Skills covered:

  • Safety skills in the deep end
  • Windmill arms
  • Rollover breathing
  • Technical rollover breathing
  • Building endurance
  • Kneeling Dives
  • Introduction to treading

Final Goal:

  • Swim 40 feet independently with windmill arms and rollover breaths
  • Swim 40 feet independently in streamline with technical rollover breaths
Beginner III
 

Class Length: 30 minutes Pool Area: Deep end (12ft depth) Class Structure: Students in water

Prerequisites:

  • Swim 40 feet independently with windmill arms and rollover breaths
  • Swim 40 feet independently in streamline with technical rollover breaths

Skills covered:

  • Safety skills in the deep end
  • Windmill arms
  • Technical rollover breathing
  • Introduction to side breath
  • Elementary Backstroke
  • Treading
  • Standing dives

Final Goal:

  • Swim 40 feet independently with windmill arms and rollover breaths
  • Swim 40 feet Elementary Backstroke
